Getting started with analytical decision-making right away

Key Performance Indicators are intended to be able to follow to what extend an organization is realizing its strategy. Why not start digging into your data right away before measuring something that is not really quantifiable?

The iterative KPI Pithead building method uses a scientific approach that goes from hypothesis generation to hypothesis formulation at the strategic level to hypothesis testing at the operational level. The results of these tests are translated back to business insights and then retransmitted to the strategic level to again give rise to the formulation of new hypotheses.

Ideas and views move up and down between the strategic, tactical and operational levels allowing early testing of alleged or suspected drivers of performance and quantitative investigation in order to obtain an early buy-in from top management.
